Porcelain broken cusp CEREC crown Patient broke part of his tooth off eating ice cream. We fixed the tooth in about an hour utilizing our chairside computer aided design and manufacturing machine called a CEREC
Onlay CEREC porcelain Above- notice the failing and ugly looking metal fillings.

Then notice how some tooth structure was salvaged and some was replaced with
a piece of porcelain.  This piece of porcelain is called an onlay as it lays over what was once a cusp.

On-lay.  When possible, Dr. Lam will choose to fabricate an onlay versus a full crown, you simply get to keep more tooth structure and nothing replaces natural solid tooth.
